DAY 6:

It is the travel day to Ninh Binh.

 

We start in morning after breakfast & reach at lunch time.

After Lunch:

It is the Mua Caves.

It is a trek up a steep 600 steps, but the view at the top is rewarding.

We make creative SRK style reels in the fields.

 

On checking in we head out to explore the city.

DAY 7:

Trang Monastery- it is a huge temple complex with many ancient pagodas & stupas.

It is a huge area, so big that needs a golf cart to take you around the Monastery sites.

It has a many arhat statues

A trek to the ancient Pagoda.

The last stop was the Stupa.

Trang An Boat Ride

You feel like you are right in the midst of a fictional temple game. The Caves & the river reality looks like fiction, or is the fiction a reality?

There are Caves beneath mountains and water of the river in the caves, we boat through this mystical land of Caves.

The Boat is to be rowed manually, passing through green calm waters surrounded by mountains and the boat going through this water, in & out of the secret caves and river lagoons surrounded by mountains.

Trang An Boat Ride..

It is Picture perfect. It is a place which can only be felt through the soul.

Stopping to see temples.

The ride back in the darkness with our companions was the scariest & funniest of all experiences in this trip.

DAY 8:

Travelled from Ninh Binh to the Cruise.

In the afternoon a Bamboo boat ride in Halong Bay was the highlight.

The evening brought in a pretty sunset for pretty pictures of the Halong Bay.

We had an awards night for fun with the group & a Karaoke Night.

DAY 9:

The day the storm came in and the natural calamities that took lives on the Halong Bay.

Had Breakfast at the Cruise & returned to Hanoi by Bus.

Lunch again at Banh mi 25.

Went to I museum & as we were preparing to go a sudden storm erupted.

This is my first experience at a 3d light museum- Van gogh painting, cherry blossoms, and ocean churning waves are projected onto the walls.

The fun part was where we could colour an animal which when scanned would fly/jump around in a jungle background. We each colour like kids.

The Group trip ends here with everyone parting ways to head to their homes. This was a trip with varied experiences – a group trip & a couple trip. We got to know people from various professions, ages, cities & different perspectives were exchanged. With loads of laughter & fun, this trip was one to be treasured.

We also got to know each other as a couple & our own selves. I was brought into cognizance of how blessed I am & how people perceive me and my qualities when they meet me.

At night we took a plane to Da nang.
